The North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging, Inc. is a private, not-for profit organization that serves older Kansans and their families in an 18-county region of Kansas. As one of 655 Area Agencies on Aging in the nation, we are charged under the Older Americans Act to create a “comprehensive and coordinated system” of services that meet the needs of older Kansans and their families. In our work to develop a comprehensive and coordinated system of services, we are also required under the Older Americans Act to advocate for policies that are in the best interest of older Kansans in our region, with particular attention to those who have the greatest economic and social needs.

Our Agency has developed a system of services in partnership with the Kansas Department on Aging, state policy makers and organizations that provide health and community services in our region since our designation as an Area Agency on Aging in 1973. We are the “Single Point of Entry” for services for seniors in our 18 county region. As such, we pride ourselves on our ability to offer seniors all the services and resources they need to age successfully in just one organization.
