Karen Mayse, a certified Medicare Benefits counselor with more than 10 years of experience in explaining Medicare to Kansans, will present eight seminars in the month of October.

The next “Sunflower Seed Gathering”—a day of simulcasted seminars to provide practical, easy-to-understand information - will be held on Sept 29 for small groups in Junction City and Minneapolis. Remote attendance will also be available through Zoom for those who register. Featured experts will address such topics as Medicare, Durable Powers of Attorney and ways to best help people living with dementia and their caregivers. Registration is now open.

Paul Shipp is the Managing Attorney with Flint Hills Legal Services who has 20 years of experience in elder law. Paul will be presenting two seminars providing trustworthy information on Durable Powers of Attorney (DPOAs) and Living Wills.

A new month means a new round of Answers for Older Kansans seminars!

The North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging (NC-FH AAA) is adding dates to August for our Medicare Basics and Durable Power of Attorney (DPOA) seminars. Each series has two different sessions, and those who are interested are encouraged to attend both sessions.

Kansans age 60 or over who meet income guidelines and who shop in farmers’ markets in Kansas can boost their health and their wallets thanks to a program that provides money through vouchers to qualified older Kansans. Vouchers can be used to purchase fresh, nutritious, unprepared, locally-grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey from participating farmers at local farmers’ markets.

The North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging (NC-FH AAA) is announcing more dates for our Medicare Basics and Durable Power of Attorney seminars that are provided through the Answers for Older Kansans program. These upcoming seminars will begin in July. Watch for additional dates in the future.
